It was a very moving morning learning of the massive impact the YMCA has locally and regionally. This impact can be understood best by listening to the many stories of the patrons who make up the YMCA community. The Y is far more than just a community centre as we learned through the story of Angela. Angela bravely shared her story with BuzzMasters so we could produce a short video speaking to the challenges she didn’t have to face alone thanks to the YMCA.

We were also very honoured to see our company name among the Leaders of the Strong Kids Campaign. Witnessing the unveiling of the sponsor wall was particularly moving for our team because the YMCA has been the scene to many memories in all of our lives.

Myself, for instance, I learned to swim as a young boy at the YMCA. Later becoming fully certified as a lifesaver and passing my knowledge onto the next generation as a swim instructor.

Just recently, BuzzMasters gifted memberships to our team and their families and the positive impact it has had on all of our lives in the short time since we started cannot be easily quantified. Where I struggled to make fitness a priority a month ago, I find myself craving my daily YMCA visit to get a sweat on and enjoy some of the luxuries like the therapy pool and the saunas (that’s right, there are multiple saunas).

Thank you to the YMCA team and their supporters for all the amazing work you do for our communities. We have found a new sense of community since becoming YMCA members and that is truly invaluable.
